HotConnect
HotConnect 5 from our Business Connect Software Suite is a universal DocuWare search adapter for your Windows applications. Without any additional development or customisation effort, you can search for documents stored in DocuWare file cabinets from within Financial, ERP, Office or other software by pressing a Hotkey combination. Through the new process search feature in HotConnect 5 you can search for all documents of a process chain e.g. order confirmation, delivery note, invoice.
Functionality
With HotConnect 5 you can highlight a text or number in any Windows application and search for the corresponding documents stored in DocuWare by simply pressing a Hotkey.
Using a search profile, assigned to its Hotkey, you configure in which DocuWare file cabinet and which search fields HotConnect should search.
In addition to highlighting a value and passing it to DocuWare you can configure HotConnect to open a quick search box in which you can enter your search criterion manually.
It is also possible to search for values stored in the windows clipboard.
Process search
A highlight of HotConnect 5 is the new process search feature. When searching for a certain index value HotConnect can find all documents belonging to the same transaction.
For example: If you search for a specific invoice by using the invoice number HotConnect can find the invoice and all delivery notes, order confirmations and emails or written correspondence belonging to this invoice number.
Index filters
Through the optional index filters you can reduce the results e.g. To only invoices, contracts or emails by adding fixed search criterions to your dynamic search values. HotConnect supports DocuWare 4 and DocuWare 5 and all types of file cabinets. Through the integrated online update feature HotConnect always stays up-to-date.
