MailConnect

MailConnect is an integration addin for Microsoft Outlook.

MailConnect reduces storage in email systems and creates a central document-pool and enables you to store and retrieve emails directly from within Outlook.

Functionality

When storing an email from Outlook to DocuWare you can choose between a universal format (PDF) for higher compatibility or the native Outlook Format (MSG).

To retrieve an already archived email you can use the DocuWare client or open the email directly from Outlook. The attachments can be removed from the email body in Outlook. MailConnect only leaves the email text so the email is still searchable through Outlook.

The storage process uses the DocuWare GAPI, which does not need a DocuWare client installed on the PC. Mails which have already been stored by someone else can be recognised to prevent duplicates.

Index Enhancement

MailConnect gives you a wide number of email properties that you can assign to DocuWare index fields. Additionally static values and dynamic result lists can be used for index enhancement through SQL queries.

Individual storagemasks can also be added which allow you to enter additional index entries. MailConnect supports Outlook 2003 and 2007 (incl. the new Ribbon Toolbar)
