The Cloud Excellence Awards celebrate the organisations, teams and projects delivering outstanding innovation, transformation and business value through cloud technology across the UK. To be recognised in two categories is a significant achievement and reflects the dedication of our team, the strength of our customer partnerships and the measurable results being delivered through our cloud-first approach.
Our Best Cloud Project shortlisting recognises the success of our long-standing partnership with Daniel Thwaites.
Over more than 25 years, DocTech has worked alongside Thwaites to continually evolve its document management environment. What began as a traditional on-premise system has developed into a sophisticated hybrid solution that combines the reliability of existing infrastructure with the flexibility and innovation offered by cloud technologies.
The project has enabled Thwaites to modernise key business processes, improve accessibility to critical information, streamline workflows and introduce new capabilities such as digital forms and electronic signatures. By embracing a hybrid cloud model, the organisation has been able to maximise previous investments while positioning itself for future growth and innovation.
The project demonstrates how cloud adoption does not always require a complete replacement of existing systems. Instead, carefully planned hybrid strategies can deliver significant operational improvements while supporting long-term business objectives.
The nomination highlights several successful customer projects, including the migration of the Prison Officers Association (POA) from an on-premise document management environment to DocuWare Cloud, as well as our work with TICAN and other organisations adopting cloud-first document management strategies.
For the POA, the move to the cloud delivered enhanced security, reduced infrastructure maintenance requirements and access to the latest platform capabilities, all while ensuring continuity for a business-critical information management system.
These projects reflect DocTech's consultative approach to cloud adoption. Every organisation faces unique challenges, and our role is to help customers identify the right path forward, whether that involves a full cloud migration, a phased transition or a hybrid deployment model.
While we are incredibly proud of this achievement, these nominations are equally a reflection of the trust our customers place in us.
Successful digital transformation is never solely about technology. It is about understanding business processes, supporting people through change and delivering solutions that create lasting value.
We would like to thank Daniel Thwaites, the Prison Officers Association, TICAN and all of our customers who continue to work with us to modernise document management and information processes.
Being shortlisted for two Cloud Excellence Awards is a proud milestone for the entire DocTech team. It reinforces our commitment to helping organisations embrace cloud technology in ways that are practical, secure and aligned with their business goals.
We look forward to celebrating with fellow finalists later this year and wish all shortlisted organisations the very best of luck.
Thank you to our customers, partners and team members who have made this recognition possible.
